The questions everyone asks.
Do I need council approval to remove a tree in Perth?
It depends entirely on your local government area, and Perth councils are not consistent about it. Some protect trees over a set height or trunk diameter, some protect a species list, some only care about street trees on the verge. We check your council before we quote and tell you straight if an application is needed. If one is, we can prepare it and the supporting arborist report.
How much does tree removal cost in Perth?
Most residential removals land between $450 and $3,500. A small ornamental in an open backyard sits at the bottom. A mature marri hanging over a pool with no side access and a powerline in the way sits at the top. The four things that move the price are height, access, what is underneath, and whether the stump goes too.

Are you actually insured, and can I see it?
Yes, and yes. $20 million public liability, full workers compensation and professional indemnity. Ask and the certificates of currency are in your inbox the same day. If a contractor hesitates when you ask for these, that is your answer.
How fast can you get here in an emergency?
We aim to be on site within the hour anywhere in the Perth metro, 24 hours a day. On a bad storm night everyone rings at once, so we triage by risk. Trees on houses and blocked driveways go first, a snapped branch on the lawn waits until morning, and we will tell you honestly which one you are.
Will you top my tree if I ask you to?
No. Topping removes the tree's ability to feed itself and triggers a mess of weak regrowth that becomes a bigger hazard in three years. If a tree is too big for its position, the honest options are a proper crown reduction to AS 4373 or removal and replanting with something appropriately sized. We will walk you through both.
What happens to all the timber and mulch?
Green waste goes through the chipper and off site to be recycled. Millable logs go to a local sawyer where the species is worth it. If you want the mulch for your garden beds, say so before we start and we will drop a pile wherever you like at no charge.
