Privacy Policy
How SOS'S Tree Services collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Last updated: 1 August 2026
Who we are
SOS'S Tree Services provides arboricultural services across the Perth metropolitan area, Western Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to quote and carry out work for you:
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- The property address where the work is to be performed.
- Details and photographs of the trees and the site.
- Records of our correspondence with you, including quotes and invoices.
- Standard website analytics, such as pages visited and approximate location, collected in aggregate.
We do not collect payment card details through this website.
How we use it
To respond to your enquiry, prepare and send a quote, schedule and perform the work, invoice you, meet our safety and insurance obligations, and keep the records we are legally required to keep. Where you have agreed to it, we may occasionally send seasonal reminders or service information. Every such message includes an unsubscribe option.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information to anyone, ever. We share it only where necessary: with our insurers if a claim arises, with your local government where a tree application requires your details, with a traffic management or crane subcontractor engaged for your specific job, and with our accountants and legal advisers where required. All of them are bound to keep it confidential.
Site photographs
We sometimes photograph completed work for our own records and occasionally for marketing. We do not publish images that identify a property address or show identifying features without asking the owner first. If you would prefer we did not photograph your job at all, tell the crew and we will not.
Security and retention
Information is stored in access-controlled business systems. We keep quotes, job records and invoices for seven years to meet Australian taxation and insurance requirements, then destroy or de-identify them. Enquiries that never became jobs are cleared out periodically.
Cookies
This website uses a small number of cookies for basic functionality and anonymous traffic analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Email us and we will respond within 30 days at the latest, usually much sooner.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, contact us first and we will try to sort it out. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always sits on this page with the last updated date at the top.
